Black Cat portraits
A good black-cat portrait keeps the sheen and the eye colour bright.
What we keep
Highlights are lifted gently; eyes are checked against your photo.

Approved by you
You approve every portrait before it's made. Two revisions, should they be needed.
Every marking
Spots, stripes, masks, odd eyes, extra toes. Their face, not a face.
Framed to give
Archival prints, real frames and a linen box. Ready to hang, or to hand over.
It moves
A code on the frame back opens a moving portrait and a private page.
Photo tips
Window light, not flash.
Natural daylight, eye-level, and the whole head in frame. Avoid heavy filters; they change coat colour.
Special features we'll keep
Add any of these in the Special Features box and we'll keep them, and you'll confirm each one on your proof:
- extra toes (polydactyl), with a count per paw
- odd-coloured eyes, and which is which
- a tipped or folded ear
- a missing leg or eye
- a crooked tail or kinked tip

Questions
Will my black cat look like my pet, not a generic one?
Highlights are lifted gently; eyes are checked against your photo. And you approve every portrait before it's made.
What photos work best?
Window light, not flash. 1 to 3 photos is plenty.
Can I include two pets or myself?
Yes. See our family and owner portraits; just upload a photo of each.
What if something is off?
Ask for a revision; two are included. Nothing is made until you approve.
